Magazine Lugares from La Nación Highlighted Scratch House in its August Issue

Revista Lugares de La Nación destacó a Scratch House

One of the most significant publishing media in domestic and international tourism has mentioned our hotel in its latest issue. The magazine Lugares, which belongs to the Argentine newspaper La Nación, has included Scratch House in its recommendations, highlighting its offerings, services, and the natural environment it is set in.

With the backing of La Nación, this magazine has established its articles as a benchmark for promotion of tourist destinations. Providing readers with a detailed and curated view of the most exclusive spots in Argentina.

In this article, Manuel and Germán Tagle underscored the historical legacy of Scratch House and how it transitioned from being “the grandma’s house,” a summer retreat for families, to a boutique hotel.

There is no doubt that its main mansion, with over one hundred years of history, stole the spotlight in the article. As manuel shared, “My father initially rented it to Guillermo Rothe, a lawyer who founded the National Democratic Party. He loved it so much that he bought it in 1960,” shared Manuel.

After the passing of his mother Nora Scarafia, renovations were carried out while considering the essence of the place. “We chose to open it as a boutique hotel so that others could enjoy it as much as we have,” he added.

During the interview, Both Manuel and Germán recalled all the personalities who stayed in the hotel rooms, including renowned golfers like Roberto de Vicenzo and former President Mauricio Macri.

Today, with the capacity to host up to twenty guests, Scratch House offers an exclusive experience. Visitors can stay either in one of the five rooms in the main house or in one of the three private houses. All equipped with a kitchen.

Breakfast is also included in the service, with the chance of asking for a fixed menu in dinners, which are specially tailored based on diverse groups. Additionally, the three-hectare park surrounding the place features a pool and a sun terrace. For these reasons the magazine Lugares, as part of La Nación, has recognized Scratch House as a destination to enjoy year-round experiences.
