This year, from March 18 to March 20, the second edition of the Terrón Amateur tournament will take place in El Terrón Golf Club – the only one in South America designed by Tom Weiskopf. The 54-hole competition will be held in medal play, and the best amateur players of the region and the country will take part.
Regardless the difficulties in 2021, a lot of talented players took part in the previous edition. Besides athletes from all over the region, experienced golfers from Uruguay and Chile are expected to participate in 2022.
The classification process of handicap categories will take place on the weekend prior to the beginning of the tournament – March 12 and 13. Those who qualify will get scores for the Presidents Cup, which is arranged by Córdoba’s Federación de Golf. Moreover, they will play their last 18 holes along with the scratch categories on March 20.
Some of the competition news, which is quite interesting for elite golfers, is that the 2022 edition will give scores to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) as well as the Amateur Rankings of Argentina Golf Association (AAG) and Córdoba’s Federación de Golf.
